Under climate change, society needs more comprehensive scientific studies to support various actions to mitigate warming and adapt to climate. Hence, the Delta Electronics Foundation collaborates with academic and research institutions to conduct in-depth research to track the latest climate change issues and trends.
Assembled by the United Nations, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) provides policymakers with regular scientific assessments of the latest findings on climate change. Since 2013, to connect media and environmental organizations to the knowledge on climate change, the Delta Electronics Foundation has held climate salons for IPCC reports, providing timely interpretations of the latest updates to the local media.
Climate communication plays a role in mobilizing people to act to confront the climate crisis. The Delta Electronics Foundation operates the Low-Carbon Life Blog and Climate Battle in Taiwan Podcast, aiming to use these platforms to translate the latest climate change issues into languages the general public could understand.
Each year, the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) gathers governmental officials, scientists, and members of civil society around the world to discuss the global agenda on climate action.
In recent years, climate change and energy transition have become the often-discussed topics in media. To raise awareness on climate change, energy saving, and the topic on trend, Delta Electronics Foundation has launched the Thematic Climate Salon since 2009. By inviting the press media and the public, we hope to participate and brainstorm how to cover high-quality stories about climate change.
